Tow hook License Plate Holder (w/ photos)

In New York its a requirement to have a front license plate.

Trying to avoid making holes on the front bumper i searched online and found an excellent solution that uses the tow hook hole in order to mount a license plate holder. I bought it from moweraxle.com

I won't say much. Service and shipping was excellent and the part itself well thought and designed.

Pictures will tell the story better than words...

Its not a bad idea and I would have considered before the holes got drilled in my bumper....to me though it takes some getting used to having it offset from the center.

I really feel for you lads who live in states that require two plates. I can't imagine drilling holes in the front facia, and running an offset plate would hever make it in my OCD world..

no problem - if ya gotta have it, ya gotta have it....

I went with this outfit and the off-center mount doesn't bother me one bit (can't see it from the ****pit)

I got the Mower Deck Axle Co product as well last year and love it. Unfortunately, Virginia requires front plates as well and I had no intention of drilling holes in the front of my car. The plate frame is solid as a rock and has even held on just fine on the track.Name: 930756816_hT7q2-L-1.jpg

Thumbs up Just Installed my Mower Deck Tow Hook Plate Holder

I have just installed my Mower Deck Tow Hook Plate Holder (only two days' wait from manufacturer in upstate New York--THANKS!). Brilliant in every respect. It's slick, ESPECIALLY the off-center look, which I thought would be naff but is definitely very pleasing to the eye. The precise, clean, substantial engineering on this straightforward installation is really impressive. Every part is exquisitely machined and polished. Worthy of a Porsche and therefore worth every dime. Highly recommended. If you're registered in a mandatory front-plate state like mine (Rhode Island, God help me), don't drill holes in your bumper... just get one of these. Mark Motte [2005 997.1 C2 Cab Arctic Silver]

I never thought so many folks from North Carolina have difficulties dealing with front plates. Things could be worse!

I 3rd that. Mine is mounted centered , almost inside the bumper, partially covering the 3rd radiator. Almost invisible also.
