potential problems with 06 911
I had my 05 engine replace due to IMS.....while in the shop an 06 was also getting a new engine...
maybe rarer but it can happen.

I have an 06 and it seems that the few problems that affected me are common on the 06 and earlier cars. Two that come to mind are:
- the headlight static thing when buffing/getting a detail
- passenger mirror whistles at 50mph+
I had the first issue remediated at the dealer with no hassle, and the 2nd one is no hold as they're using my speedfilm as a skapegoat. I plan to take it back in and get that resolved.
I've also heard about a battery cable issue, maybe the ground cable. On the early cars, they say that is a common problem. You'll read about people complaining about starting problems, and that the .2 version has a better starter, or things along those lines. I've been meaning to check mine, but haven't got around to it.
That's all I can think of right now

You may need to deal with little things like Tire pressure sensors going bad, and batteries. My horn went out around a year ago.

Zero issues with my 2006 Carrera S with 39,500 miles on it. None except for the cable that was causing a slow start; this showed up about 6 months ago and my independent replaced it with a new superseded one very inexpensively. This car has been the most reliable car I've ever had.
Thanks

I'll check when I get back to my office and let you know. It was very cheap, at least for me, and you may be able to use that as comparison. My independent's rate I believe is $75/hr - and he gives a 10% discount to PCA members.

That's a great rate BEFORE the 10%....here in DC area they charge $112/hr with 0 PCA discount. ;-P
Pays to know the owners of these places like I do....

My independent charged me for both parts and labor, as well as sales tax in FL, a total of $283.10 - this figure includes the 10% PCA member discount he gives. It was not a big deal and I got my car back within hours.
To clarify this was for the cable from the Alt to the Starter?
