I've had numbers made up at a local sign company (kinda like fast signs) with a magnetic back. not very expensive.

i still use chalk in the windows but have been wanting to get either vinyl or magnetic #'s. the only thing holding me back is i've heard dirt and track dust/grit can scratch or leave a mark around the leading edge of those things. do any of you who are using them have issues or problems with the paint?

none...i spray the side of my door with quick detialer before I place them on...i use a small piece of racers tape in front edge as to double secure them and I have never had a problem.

and another stupid question: i'm assuming i need the vinyl, peel off/reusable ones as opposed to the magnetic since the doors and hood are aluminum, right?

Magnetic numbers always seem to fly off. I use static cling...smabe number on and off the car 1-=15 times a year for the last 6 years...zero issues very durable.

I got mine from gochecker.com

Is static cling the same thing as reusable vinyl? Thanks.

My magnetic numbers have never flown off.. nor have i every seen them come off in any run group I have been in.

I have gone up to around 130 with them....but probable not up to your speeds...the racer tape trick seems to work.
