Impressive Mr. Button, Impressive.

Just watched the Grand Prix with my 4 year old daughter. I was watching it and she sat down and just started asking all kinds of questions. It was a good lesson in never giving up. I'm not a big race fan but to watch a guy go from last place to the lead right in front of your eyes in a race like that was fantastic.
Vettel, who was in the lead most of the race, made a simple mistake in lap 69 of 70 and Button pounced into the lead.

For a race that initially looked like a washout it ended up being the most entertaining F1race of the year....congrats to JB and McLaren for proving what can be accomplished when all seems lost
Of course it helps when you take out two of your main rivals. To me, Schumi was the star of the race!
The perserverence award goes to Audi after losing two cars to terrible accidents at LeMans. What was McNish thinking? Even if he had found a way clear of the Ferrari, the two Porsches were in the way. And how on Earth does the 458 driver move over into Rockenfeller?

It was great to see him contending again...too bad he just missed a podium

From an Epic 24 hour of LeMans to roll into the Canadian Grand Prix with the rain soaked track and battles right to the end. Truly a great race weekend!
Only disappointment for me was Schumacher not making the podium.

It sure was a great drive, Alex (Sharky) and I were sitting right at Turn 6 when the spin happened. Button was about 100 feet from us when he passed Vettel. From the second he left the pits after a puncture and was trying to catch the Virgins while the safety car ran, we were cheering him on. We were the only weirdos in the grand stands clapping when he would come around in 20th place, then 18th, etc. It was such a neat experience (my first Grand Prix) and I feel lucky to have witnessed it. The crowd, even some of the Ferrari fans, were clapping for Button / McLaren by the end.
And Schumacher too, he had a big round of applause after taking Kobayashi and Massa in one move.

That may wind up being the pass of the year!
