Agreed. I just think the exterior is getting sexier everytime they tweek it. And the interior is stellar. I love the current 997 interior everything feels and looks high quality but the overall look is uninspiring. The new interior really makes you feel like you are truly in a world class car, i would expect nothing less from Porsche.

Beautiful.

Thanks for posting.

I do get a chuckle out of how they tape over the badging on the most iconic sports car ever made. Do they really believe people will not recognize a Porsche 911 when the badge is taped over?

For all the crap given to the SC wart, I must say that it's integrated into the dash much better now. It looks like it belongs as opposed to being an afterthought.

Likin' the rear wing. The wing aftermarket just took a big hit!
Sport chrono may be standard - otherwise it's going to be very difficult to have a different dash without it.

This is Porsche we are talking about - no way Sport Chrono will be standard. The company takes every opportunity to overcharge its customers, routinely charging big $ for options that are standard on a $20k Honda. Plus, look at the dash for the Panamera and Cayenne - they easily have two versions - one with and one without the wart - merely involves a swap out of the trim pieces surrounding the clock. I imagine that the 991 will be the same.

I have to say, the new car looks great. Seems that Porsche is finally bringing the 911 (especially the interior) into the 21st century. The 997 looks VERY dated at this point compared with its competition.

Audi, VW, Mercedes and BMW use central units (MMI, i-drive etc.)
The sea of buttons, first introduced in the Panamera, follow the Porsche Core Philosphy: quickest ways, direct, from button to function.
they could have reduced the buttons but that would have meant a reduction of functions as well.
if there is someone to blame then it´s the future customers (not u personally) who want dozens of electronic comfort and luxury gadgets in the new 911s,
so they have to accept it. i like the fact that Porsche got its own philosophy.

I don't think there's anything wrong with all the new tech they are adding to the 991. Porsche has been pushing the envelop with driving technologies for years. Why shouldn't the interior be just as advanced?

i agree, people will get used to the button overdose.
i was sceptical once as well, but after sitting in a Panamera, it felt definitely cool. almost like sitting in the ****pit of an airplane.

The first time I sat in a panamera I forgot how ugly the backend was and then after driving it...you just don't care, you think yup..I could drive this everyday.
