Bumper scratched up ..suggestions

got scratched as you can see..bumper is not damaged in anyway..just paint peeled off

whats best to do..
remove bumper take it in get it resprayed?
leave it on the car see if they can touch it up?
buy a new bumper have it sprayed bring it home and install it?
or open to suggestions..
what ever will make it as close to perfect as possible

picture on the way.

It's hard to tell from a photo of just the small segment as to how much of a visible eyesore it is.
In my opinion the least disruptive route would be to try touch up paint .If it looks really awful it acn always go to a body shop for an estimate .

Ask your local dealer for the best option. They deal with dings and scrapes all the time. They may recommend a good body shop that specializes in repairing p-cars to factory specs.

Good luck.

Just get it repainted at a reputable body shop. Touching it up will look like crap, especially with red

Looking at the size of your scrapes, as well as the paint flaking off at the edges, I would say repaint the entire bumper. Touching it up is not not going to do you any good.

get it repaint by a professional shop, that deals with porsche, lambos, ferrari etc..... If you go to Porsche all they are going to do is outsource it anyway and you will pay 1500 as oppose to 100 to get repainted.....

whatever you do take good before and after pictures, if you decide to sell and the buyer wants to know why you repainted then you have a proof....

That is what I have done. Call your dealer and ask who the recommend. They will tell you to the same shop they would send your car to anyway.

Don't use touch up paint; the result will look awful. Just get it repainted.

Tonka858,

Just have it re-sprayed. Where are you located?

I think you are looking minimum at $500 for a paint job.

I just had my bumper sanded down and resprayed + new clear film.
Tons of stone chips.
Top shop in my town. About $1600.
Looks great.

Take before/during/after photos so you can show the next owner that the respray was not following an accident. Good luck.
