Rear Brakes for C2S

Been offered to take in a set of Turbo rear brakes. Wonder if these would fit my car.

I am currently driving a 2007 997.1 C2S Cabrio Manual. Do i need to purchase new 350mm rear rotors or can i just use my current set of rotors?

Anyways, am i correct to understand our C2S come with 4-pot rear as well?

Would any of you do similar or just stick to our current set-up.

Cheers, Peter

I would not do it. The rear S brakes are 4 pot, I believe. I don't have any details but I figure there are two cases: (a) turbo rear brakes are bigger, which is more likely, or (b) turbo brakes are essentially the same size as yours.
For (a) I wouldn't do it bc I'd always be concerned with brake bias and other issues. It would be a pain that would not be worth the trouble, IMHO.
For (b), I think it's obvious that it wouldn't be worth the trouble

Fwiw, I was offered free 944T brakes for my track car, which is a significant improvement. I took the offer and only paid for labor to get them installed. I think it was worth it over the long haul, but it sent me down a different path regarding race classification. In my case, I got a matching set of front and back. If that were the case for you, it might be worth it for the cool factor, but it would still be a pain, and not worth sourcing a separate set of fronts, again IMHO.

Are you really running of of brakes on the road? I have used and abused my brakes in the track, and short of running different pads I am 100% stock. You don't need the turbo brakes or the headaches that come with converting to them. If you want to brag that you have turbo parts on your C2S, add a turbo badge and be done with it.

Another route you could travel is the Girodisc. You get better heat transfer and keep the stock calipers and pads. As you might imagine as pad size goes up so does the price.

Have the slotted in the front, and although I get some extra brake noise, they are excellent. OEM rotors would last about 2 days at the track on my car with Pagid Yellows, these have about 10 days on them and they are going strong!

I just bought a complete set of 997 Turbo brakes for my C2S. I wouldn’t do the front or rear only as brake bias is a concern (at least for me). I know Suncoast sells a 6pot Turbo/GT3 caliper upgrade but Porsche seems to match the rotor size front and rear…

The Turbo uses 350mm front and rear vs 330mm on the C2S/C4S, so yes you would need new rotors. Both rear calipers are 4pot with the Turbo rear caliper having cross bracing to reduce flex.

Curious, why would you say that? Care to elaborate, would be good to get some input.

I wouldn't waste your time. They are not that much larger then what you have now. They are both 4 piston calipers.
