Pulling the trigger 2008 or 2009

Alright guys,

once again I really need your advice.

deposit is down on a 2009 c2s (meteor on black) - 14.000km /us import/1 owner /sport pasm/bose/sport chrono/leater sport seats/heated seats 2 year warranty

And just got a good offer
on a 2008 c2s (black on black) - 32.000km early in service date - warranty only until Nov this year/us import/2 owner/standard power seats/bose/leather sport wheel/metal door sills/self dimming mirrors./red tail lights

I have no preference on color I like them both. I'd prefer comfort seats as I am little big for the sport seats but don't think its a problem changing them out.

All in all I'd safe $14200 (considering shipping etc) if buying the 2008.
I don't need the money right now and I more look at it as the cost of ownership. I am thinking that the pricegap between 997.1 and 997.2 will always be there. If i sell "soon" the fact the 2008 would be a 3 owner probably hurts and if i sell "late" depreciation gets smaller (per year) and I'd safe a little on gas and repair/maintenance on the 2009!?
So my own logical conclusion would be to go for the 09. You guys agree?

Thx again for the time

I bet 99.9% of the folks that respond will tell you to get the '09. Better engine, lower miles, better gas mileage, longer warranty, and the list goes on and on. It's "only" 14,200 more, which isn't much considering how much you're spending. As long as it doesn't break the bank.

Or get the 08 an put a turbo kit on it for 10K and do a few handling mods with the rest!

when you trade it or sell it down the road you can sell the turbo kit and recoup the $ or put it on the new 911 you get.

Just some other optons

I was looking at an 08 S until I drove an 09 S. I paid $10k more for the 09 S and never looked back.

I've owned both. The difference between '08 and '09 is significant. No doubt I would buy the '09. I'm really enjoying the '09 whereas I was not as excited about the '08.

09 C2S has more HP than 08 C2S; when I was shopping for a used 997.1 C2S/C4S, my eventual purchase of a 09 997.2 C4 was equivalent to me in part because the HP between the 997.1 S and 997.2 nonS was negligible. And then all the nice creature comforts of the 997.2 won me over, and I felt the $12K difference between the two models was definitely WORTH IT. Now you're looking at 997.2 S vs 997.1 S - I'd say 14K easily is compensated for with the newer model!

The first time I actually drove a capable car myself was 2 month a go when I was in Germany and rented a e93 m3 for the weekend (350 euro for 3 days Super deal imo at Sixt). After I unloaded my Son and wife I went to the City-Autobahn (speed limit like 100 km/h) went under the bridge in second at 4-5k rpm and hit 80% throttle - 30 sec later I started talking like a retard to myself with the window open.

What I am saying is if I'd never had experienced that I would be probably even more WOW at least from the acceleration point of view. But as I heard a 911 is about the whole package.

CAN'T wait

I'm sure you will find lots of great roads to drive on in Vancouver. Enjoy the new car.
