Would this bother you???

Hi guys! I wanted to see if you could look at some pics and give me some feedback! I had my new Pilot Super Sports put on last week and when I got the car back, there were gouges in the rims down to the metal in the same spot on all 4 rims. The spots are small but noticeable. What do you think?
Touch up paint maybe?

This is repairable by reputable mobile wheel repair companies, or for the ambitious DIY. Does it bother me? I'm a perfectionist...everything bothers me.

Stuff like that used to drive me mad but i've learned to let small things like that go or it'll drive me crazy and I can't concentrate on anything productive. I used to fix small things like that on my wheels but debris on the road would cause other chips or flaws to pop up eventually.

It looks like the installer marred that spot with a screwdriver to remove the center cap. He did not have to do that. Bad installer.

Thanks guys!
I just spoke with the dealership and they agreed to have their Wheel-guy touch it up next week.
I wonder if it was done by the Hunter Road force balance machine?

Also, they swore they did not take the center caps off! They looked like Pry-marks to me too.....

John,

I have used a wheel repair service in NJ with terrific results. Njwheelrepair.com. I would sent the bill to the dealer.

As others have said, yes, that would bother me. I expect even the local tire shop to do a better job than that. Unacceptable. Have them make it right.

Touch-up is touch-up. Make sure it is a professional job.

It would bother me but as others have said it can be fixed . In fact I have seen a wheel which i thought was completely unsalvageable restored so well that I was asked to guess which one it was and i could not .

Would bother me that the monkeys at the tire shop did it. Hell, it bothered me when the tire shop gave me back my clean wheels back with grease all over 'em after they mounted new tires. Scratch one tire shop off my list. As for repairing it, after a few days I'd get over it. Got curb rash on one wheel that drives me crazy every time I look at it. One of these days going to have it fixed.

How long would it take to melt a set of the new Pilot SS when you are abusing your car?
