marsfire is infamous around these parts
fuel pump failure @ 30k miles?

I've got an 06 C2S, and the car wouldn't start this weekend. I had it towed to a shop and they said that the fuel pump went bad. no fuel pressure and the fuel pump is getting a signal...

30k seems REALLY early. has anyone else had their fuel pump go bad this early? I don't think there's anything I could have done to 'make' the fuel pump fail like this

It is unusual. It is good practice to refuel at about 1/4 tank; letting the tank go down may overheat the fuel pump.

Note to the unwary... this is a run-of-the-mill fuel pump not the DFI engines HPFP.
