Someone please give me some reassurance here.

Finished. After I got the mufflers back, putting it back together was fast and easy. 1 hour including cleanup. Took it for a ride and I like it better. It s not loud at all (at least from inside the car). Highway is almost normal. When you get 3K and above it sounds much better. After doing this there s no way I d spend thousands to get PSE installed. It s not loud enough to ever have to shut it off. And I am over 50 so I wouldn t be happy with too much noise.

My car got louder after I put some miles with the hack (~100 miles)
It's perfect, good deep sound and not obnoxious at all

Thanks slick911. You actually already gave me that info. I talked to him and really want him to do it...just trying to figure out the logistics. Ideally I could find a shop to do the whole thing in one shot.

Ah yes. I remember now. Guess my short term memory should be called brief term.

Also got the gundo hack 2" pipe today. Sounds great, loud when you get on it, but just the right sound. Welds look very clean and I'm happy with the mod. So as some of you know, everything in Hawaii costs more. I paid $350 for the job and couldn't be happier.

I installed mt FD Motorsports Fister-Gundo hacked mufflers yesterday and let me tell you..... What an improvement! I had the Sharkwerks primary muffler bypass pipes already, but wanted something more aggressive at higher RPM. The combination of the two gave me exactly what I was looking for. Amazing sound.... Tame (almost stock) at lower RPM, but once 3k comes around the car changes personality fast. My new trick is to take friends and family under a long overpass at @ 4k RPM and watch them laugh. Childish but man is it fun!

Does anyone know if FD does this for a 997.2?
