Pacific Northwest Wet Weather Tire Recommendations please...
my 2012 GTS came with Michelin PS2's. I've run with those on my Audi TT through the wet winter weather here in the Pacific Northwest (not snow use). Since the TT had Quattro and the GTS is RWD, looking for experiences from other 911 owners in the Pacific Northwest on there experiences with PS2's in wet weather and what alternative rubber they prefer to deal with soggy roads.
Thanks in advance.

I would say they are acceptable in those conditions with judgment on how you drive and assuming it's a rare occasion as it is for us. That is, with care you don't have to be dismayed at a sudden out-of-season storm. The times I was stationed in Seattle for a few months, it never seemed to get really cold, although the rain storms like our 'occasional' ones were more of a routine event. In that weather, I think I'd change to 18" wheels and winter tires about this time of year and leave them on until ... well, you know the climate better than I do. March? Whatever the period, I'd say your routine should include winter tires so you don't have to tiptoe around.
I haven't found a better tire than Michelins for Summer performance use combined with rain down to that aforementioned forty degrees, and we've been running PS2's year round here because we only get three or four winter storms every season. But in Seattle and points north, or anywhere in our Northern tier states, I'd plan on going to winters because the storms become the dominant mode. I know we had bright sunny 20 F days in Duluth every Winter, because I can picture the co-eds sunbathing behind windbreaks. Nevertheless, the driving days I remember are the stormy ones. If Vancouver is like a milder version of that, then I'd buy some Michelin winter tires and a set of beater 18" wheels.

I has ps2 on my c4s last winter and it did fine although I try to drive the Lexus hybrid during snow days in Seattle and suburbs. It is when the temps are 36 or less that make me more attentive. And I was in Seattle during that paralyzing snow day in nov last year. I drive a flat route back to our condo or try to. Wife won't use her rear wheel Boxster in snow in the suburbs due to rear wheel drive and slippage on her ps2 tires. This year I bought some pirelli snows for the c4s along with wheels and TPMS sensors to keep on. It was actually a way of getting some oz black ultraleggerras to try out. If I like them I may use these wheels for my super sports currently on my sport design wheels and swap them in April when I change back.
It was a toss up between the Dunlop and the pirellis with the pirellis hard to get but I wanted a n rated tire even though my PSS are not. I know 18 in. If favored for now but I really wanted the wheels. Make sense?

I run on Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero 19". The only winter approved tire. I posted the Porsche approved tires about 6 months ago at

I really like the tires in the seattle area....use them once temps get below 40 F. Definitely not DE tires :-)
I have a separate set of wheels these are mounted on
