Thats what I'd hoped for, but with the new fuel pump in place, it still does it. (I'm assuming they dealer actually did install a new HPFP).

I'd assume that absent evidence otherwise. But I'd also complain. They may not have re-calibrated the system correctly. The engine electronics control that pump and they include an internal map that has to match the response of the pump installed. Bug them about it.
