I'd be curious about the price. I thought they were pretty well over $1k PLUS a core. Caution to other posters looking at GT3 Alcantara wheels - those wheels are NOT much thicker than a stock sport wheel.

The steering wheel shipped with the core return was under $1000. BTW: I definitely like Dallas Custom's work as well. Could you post some photos of your steering wheel?

It did take about 8 weeks to have the wheel made but it was worth the wait.

I can see why at the end price is competitive. yours is really customized, a lot more than just making it thicker. I recall Dallas has a good base price but each customization adds on.
Wonder if DCT has lower price for less customization.

Wow... under 1K I will definitely have it done. Why are the prices on the site around $1,600? Are they running a promotion / deal of some sort? Thanks!

No promotions that I'm aware of. I spoke/emailed directly with Ivan the owner and thats the deal he gave me. Really upstanding guy. Only thing was that it took a little longer than I had expected.

Prices of $1600 plus a core is more like it. Anyway, it is personal preference. I know some are interested, here is the link to the for sale thread I had on the wheel I had built up and wrapped in Alcantara by Dallas.

Ok... totally on the fence now! Talked to Ivan and a good guy he is. The price he gave me is good for a 3 piece carbon wheel w/ flat bottom. The wheel looks good!

Now the questions is whether to get it or not. I am set on only getting performance/functional mods. Does this qualify as such? Am I just throwing money away for aesthetics? Does a good steering wheel make the car feel different?

I curredntly have an OE Alcantara fatter wheel with thumb support on the car... is it worth switching it out for a bit of fiber?

I honestly recommend it! it is one of my favorite upgrades. The steering wheel is your direct connection to the road and my entire driving experience has been enhanced with this addition. You won't regret it.

My car is white, with white console and carbon fiber inside trim. If he can pull off white carbon fiber I am in. It should be one of a kind! Waiting on his reply.

That would look amazing!! Hope it works out and definitely post some pics when you have the wheel installed.

BTW: Stay out of trouble in Vegas I've had some blurry nights there and even worse mornings.
