Shark Werks Eats up Lobster Forks! HRE Monobloks & Other Shark Gear

This bone stock silver 2008 997S on "lobster fork" wheels came in for a sprucing up including a light-weight set HRE Monobloks, the EVOMSit software and V-Flow intake. For sound and more performance a Tubi exhaust was also installed.

Bone stock, right up to the orange side markers:

On the chopping block before she gets a change-over:

In goes the EVO V-Flow Intake:

Next up is a pair of sparkling Tubi side mufflers:

First we need to remove those quiet and heavy stock units:

Off the come:

Installing the EVOMSit software tuned for 91 octane and the cold air intake:

And now with the 19 inch P40 Monoblok wheels in satin Charcoal:

Top down and ready to go:

Did you dyno it stock then again afterwards to see how much real HP gain there is with the exhaust/intake/SW mods?

One other question: I've seen a lot of companies selling the "filter on a stick" CAI's for other applications like turbo diesel trucks, etc. The biggest criticism of these systems is that these type of filters do not provide the same level of engine protection (microns of filtration) versus say a stock air filter or a stock air box with a K&N style oiled filter. Any concerns about that in this application?

Thanks

When doing a new set up or new hardware then absolutely but this one is a kit that's been around the block more than a few times and the EVOMSit software is already R&D'd, dyno'd, driven, tested and perfected for 91, the EVOMS cai and exhaust:

This is actually the _exact_ same car (down to a tip!) with the same hardware:

This filter also isn't oiled and it's usually over-oiling when re-using/cleaning that tends to get the maf in trouble. These ones just don't ever give us issues
