Advice Please! Uncurable System Failures!
Solid brake lines? Of all the things...
Just thought I'd throw in another opinion/perspective which is that it seems odd that the failure (CEL) occurs after 15 minutes of runtime. I would tend to want to experiment with that - using a reset tool to see if there is any driving mode or action that might be triggering it. If it was instantaneous, that too would be a clue, but perhaps more difficult to use as a clue. This sure is odd.
Separately, is that shop that did the mods hesitant to take responsibility here? Or are they just a long drive away?

Verde -- that's basically the approach that the dealer tech eventually adopted. Drive with the PIWIS in passenger seat and observe in realtime. The tuner shop was fine -- willing to talk, invited me to bring the car back, but for a variety of reasons I thought going to the dealer first made more sense.
Now, happy to report that the problem appears to be fixed! (75 miles on the clock with no faults).
Dealer tech "adjusted the hell out of the brake light switch." So it appears that at the end of the day it was that part that was faulty and/or not adjusted for the new brake lines. I'll leave it to the engineers (Gary!) to opine on whether the new brake lines might have had a hard time synching with the brake switch light or the mods otherwise had anything to do with the issue. Over the summer, I had a CEL (for o2 Sensors) immediately after an oil change and flush -- 6 months after extensive intake/exhaust mods (see my signature). Eventually after a few weeks, it turned out to be the MAF not the mods (or change/flush) that logic would have dictated.
Regarding the stainless steel lines, I am a bit surprised at all the concern. Here is the link to them:

Note, 1) they are DOT approved and 2) they are Porsche OEM. That gives me a lot of comfort.
At the same time, I appreciate Paul's cases of broken ss lines and in truth if I had known that prior, I may have stayed away because this is a unnecessary mod. As it was explained to me by the tuner, the biggest feature of the ss lines is the teflon coating, which pays dividends on very hot track days (I'm told). For $140 and no downside I knew of, seemed like a good investment given that I do track in July etc. I'll keep them on for now and keep an eye on them. Anyway I'll need to lift the car a bit more often now to keep the new motorsport arms and links properly tightened.
Anyway, thanks very much to all who reached out. I'm going for a long drive tomorrow to celebrate and hopefully I'll find that this issue is gone for good!

hope they fixed your problem for good man ! I was gonna suggest checkin fuses...
doing the exhaust on my z06 i clipped a reverse solenoid harness with the pipe and it shorted it out blowing a fuse...
my dashboard was lit up like a christmas tree until we diagnosed that one out...

Sure glad you got that sorted out, and don't look to me to figure out what ... the brake light you said? What that was doing that caused alerts. I would need telemetry and two test launches to figure that one out.

Good thing you went to a mechanic with imagination,
Gary
