does you clutch make any sounds?

hi, just a quick question - if you have a 6sp car and car sits in the garage, not started - when you depress clutch pedal - do you hear anything at all coming from a clutch area, i mean from a gearbox, not from pedal itself?

my car just started making weird squeak there, just literally almost like a hardwood floor squeaks when you walk over some spots. totally weird, i do not think it was doing it ever before. and it is new clutch. such a botheration.... i cannot hear it on the road or with engine started but when car is stopped and in the garage it is kinda annoying to hear.

yep, i stopped at my mechanic this morning, he says it`s a plastic end of a clutch bearing that presses into plate that makes this creaking noise. he says it`s 'normal'. even if it is a BS there is nothing i can do, i hope it will go away with time. will see.

I hear the same noise occasionally. My mechanic described the same issue. He said that bearing develops a bit of a burr that can be sanded smooth and the whole thing re-greased. He says that this usually takes care of it.

It's all in the external linkage to the clutch so it isn't that expensive to take care of. He said about $250. I'll get to it sooner or later.
