Dectane vs rottec back LED lights

Please tell me your experiences with these two types of back lights.
Does Dectane have also a fog light?
And where is the best way to order the back and front led light?
Thank you.

I organised a group buy of these in the UK. Being in the Eurozone there were no import duties and we paid Euro400 including shipping. We purchased Dectane (or rather from Dectane as these are made by DEPO in Taiwan) and Dectane have sole European distribution rights. BTW they should not be shipping to the USA. There will be a disty for the USA but I do not know who this is - perhaps try contacting DEPO otherwise you are buying something that will have attracted Euro and US import duties.
We had one DOA which was resolved with a replacement and have had no faults since. These are closest to OEM Gen2 that we could find and are truly plug and play. Fog light is included on both left and right but your car is wired for one side only depending on country LHD/RHD car type. The reverse light is incandescent but can be replaced with an LED bulb if you wish.
Overall we thought to be a great buy at a reasonable cost. These will become open distribution next year which will drive the cost down further - probably closer to Euro300.

Love the Rottec rear LED lights and Ray has been great to work with. They work flawlessly and I personally think they look better than the Dectane ones. I've read about numerous issues on here about the Dectane ones.

I'm currently awaiting my front LED lights from Rottec as well.

Elusive:Thank you for your opinion.
My next questions were about the differences, shine, quality and function. You answered right now.
But if there are some more experiences from others, please share it.
Till now I prefered the Dectane bacause they look more similar to original. If the quality is bad, I take rottec.
And is there any other producer of front led lights except rottec?

Vic, there is a mega thread here about Dectane lights, I'm sure you will find all your quality answers there.

At the end of the day these are just tail lights and not a fine watch. Dectane makes a good set at a reasonable price. I don't think any after market light is going to be 100% awesome in all categories, but Dectanes come very close to stock and that was good enought for most people here.

Get Dectane if you want an OE look, get ROTtec if you want a custom one, you can't go wrong with either one. You will be happy with either one as well.

On another note, I purchased the Dectane units because I also felt that they looked more similar to the OE unit of the 997.2. Also, in my case, I saved ~ $200+ compared to the Rottec. They have performed flawlessly thus far. The brightness mimic the OE lights as well, for me. There were issues of customer support with Orange Tuning, the vendor that was selling these units; however, in my case, I did not have an issue with him.

Regardless of your decisions, both units look good as DirtyVegas suggested. It all depends on your tastes. As for the front LED DRL's, only Rottec is carrying them for now. You can save some money if you order both the tailights and front DRL from Rottec.
