Post your high mileage 997 here
The reason I bought a Porsche was for it to be a DRIVER'S CAR. I like driving my cars instead of having it stored, just my opinion. Porsche is an experience for me. My 997 has 46k miles. I'm hoping to get over 200k miles. From the posts, it looks like there aren't too many over 100k. I know it's how you treat it and maintain it, but I wish there was more high mileage Porsches.
I just picked up a Porsche book on my Nexus 7, by Vic Elford when he first started racing a 911 in 1966 for Corsica. He asked about tools and spare parts for this rally. He basically replied, "But there are no spare parts. Porsches don't break."
I don't know how the reliability and longevity of the 997 engines are?
