Does the different diameter exhaust pipes have anything to do with the sound of the spotr exhaust or just show?

Those rims in the first one look like rs97 monolites from champion.....my favorite rims of all time!

Yes, and according to "Porsche latest Press Info."
the new 997 C4S will be 44mm wider than current 997 CS.
It will also have wider wheels and tyres, larger rim offsets, & wider wheel track at the rear axle.

In short, that car would be a KILLER
