I just looked at that post.

Wheel conversion was $2,500 . . . . . Ouch!

He has a round old school steering wheel (like on the 997.1 S) and replaced with a 997.2 style wheel.

bad thing is that I have to get a new airbag (850) and the steering wheel is +/- $900. I don't need any dealer coding since I don't want any multi function. I can get a complete wheel (used with airbag) for $500 but it's silver trim instead of black...

RudyP is infamous around these parts
Depending on your needs, Don Le at Dallas Custom steering wheel can refinish your existing wheel (or core exchange one for you) for much cheaper. I had my 997.1 round airbag redone in Alcantara and thickened up considerable for around $300. He also did my parking brake handle for not much more than $100. Great work, really fast turnaround and exceptional customer service. I don't know if he can make major changes (e.g., change the shape of the wheel) but it may be worth asking.

This is great! I shied away from installing a MY10+ steering wheel but it seems it's much less of an installation hassle than I thought. Def exploring that option now!

Ok can anyone please recommend me a really good shop who can install me the OEM MY2010+ steering wheel in my 2009 C2S? I have a 6MT so no big surprises there but I don't want to go to some dealer service who has to "figure it out" first... Appreciate any good recommendations

Also - it won't affect my CPO will it?

Installation is not that difficult but you need to be sure to disconnect the battery...

Got my new DCT Motorsports wheel in today's mail. Installation was pretty straightforward. Took a couple of hours. Most that time was consumed trying to remove the 'pesky' air bag and looking for a torx screw that I dropped inside the cabin.

Attached is a before (old wheel) and after shot (DCT wheel). I did a fairly conservative wheel on my black/black ole 997S. The quality of the leather and stitching is great.

Kudos to Ivan @ DCT and the Taiwan leather shop that does the actual work.

Yes, but note that you can recoup some of that when you sell the old wheel and airbag.

Selling the XPA wheel for around $750 and the airbag for around $500 recoups 1/2 of the cost and lowers it to only $1,250.
