V1 vs Passport
V1 vs Passport (real world comparo)
I ran them side by side for about seven hundred miles then pulled the Passport as it was getting its *** handed to it by the V1. The V1 still falses a helluva lot more than the passport but it was also more sensitive in and some cases by large margins. The directional arrows alone are worth any price disparity even if the detection abilities were closer.
The passport is the not the X50 but it is less than a year old and the V1 is about 6 months old. The X50 may have closed the gap a bit but without the directional arrows its a distant second place.
I got lasered three times with only the V1 which one time picked up the car in front of me which saved me, the second time I saw the cruiser before I was even in range and had time to slow down before being "probed", 3rd time a Z28 pursuit car in Oregon shot me from behind after I had been following him for a few miles thinking I would gun it as soon as he pulled into the median, anyway picked up Ka and K equipped cars with ease, both instant and constant.
This was my quasi annual tour de West Coast, 3800 miles in 6 days, Next year I should be in an S. I'll need the V1 even more, should probably get a scanner.

I have never used a Bel detector, but I believe the company is owned by Escort. They likely share technology.
