997.2 aerokit

Hi All.
New to this awesome forum. Was curious if anyone knows when (if at all) the gen 2 aerokit would be available from porsche. I have a 2011 C2 and really like the gen 2 GT3 but too cheap to buy the thing so next option would be aerokit. Any info would be appreciated.

Diablo79 is infamous around these parts
Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the forum Slick

Check with Suncoast, they are pretty big in Porsche parts, they might be able to give you some info. www.e-partssales.com

I love the .2 GT3 look, was going to put it on my .1 C2S also but couldn't wait

Thanks for the info Diablo. I will call them and ask. As u know, there are tons of kit options but the .2 GT3 wing really hit it home for me.

Slick,

We have the 997.2 Aerokit listed on our website here:
http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...Code=997gen2ak

We can typically get them from our local depot which can take 2-3 business days. The kit comes in primer and we ship it with a freight company.

Let me know if we can be of any help.

Ryan. The link shows the .1 aerokit able to be installed onto a .2 car. Anything on a .2 aerokit for .2 car? I did not find it on your website. If not, any idea when it would be available?
Attached are samples of what I am looking for. Thx!

There is no such thing. For the aerokit on the 997.2 carrera coupe, that is the factory one. If you want to look like the gt3, then there is a gt3 aero kit that fits a 997.2 carrera coupe.

Thanks MileHigh. I realize that there is a 997.1 GT3 kit that will fit my 997.2 but I don't care too much about the .1 tail. Sounds like more waiting in my future. Thanks for your input.

Slick,

The 997.2 aerokit looks a little like the 997.1 GT3 or .1 aerokit, but that is all that Porsche offers at this time. The pictures you show are a 997.2 GT3 and the only way to achieve that look is from aftermarket replicas or purchase the GT3 parts directly from Porsche.

We can help you out with pricing if you are seriously considering going that route.

Let me know happy to help!

If using the factory parts, I can only assume there will be some fitting issues as the .2 GT3 wing only has one air intake, right? Let's just say if it does fit, what would the cost be for the factory supplied wing? I am almost convinced that my options are to just wait or go with replicas.

There will be some issues as far as fitment goes. You are also correct about the intake and the decklid shroud for the GT3.

I sent you a PM for the price of a GT3 decklid and wing.

Let me know if we can be of anymore help.
