After market Head unit???

I know you need to get a double din to fit one in but i have a bose system. Is there something else i need so it will plug up to the bose system. I saw on ebay some crazy kit for 850 so i can use my bose amplifier and all???? Really? I thought it was just plug and play

Your audio system uses the MOST system, you need a box that allows you to connect the normal audio interface to the MOST system. IMO you are better to redo the entire system or leave it alone.

Im ok with the speakers and sound just wanted a new head unit with navi, bluetooth and etc. I thought it would just need a special connector. I was just reading it would just connect right up.

NorthVan is right. Doing the whole thing at the same time might also end up being less costly.

Yes, I recently upgraded the speakers in my GT3, and we looked at a module to connect the existing head unit to a new amp, and the connector was $750.

Just to provide an alternate perspective, if you rewire your speakers and add an amp, you *might* get some annoying noise/electrical-interference coming from the car's other electrical systems. Since the MOST system uses optical signals, you don't have to worry about interference noise from your speakers. In that case, an adapter to connect to the existin fiberoptic loop may save you headaches later. Plus it makes it easy to revert the upgrade and return to the stock head unit, if you want.

Here's the double DIN with Bose (MOST) Integration, if you want to that route...

Northvan... Im going with your bro. I looked into this more and the amp is the best way to go to. Doesn't really cost that much either. 3 something for a JL amp that will support 2ohms like the BOSE speakers need.

PSPorsche. Im not going to revert because i have a PIXEL error on my OEM HU. It goes crazy and sometimes never turns on but will play music??? Plus the porsche buttons are crap and i want something new.

check out a kenwood dnx 6990hd (brand new upgrade of the 6980) if you are looking at all-in-one head units. I'm having one installed tomorrow on my '09 c4s (along with a RV camera and a 9500ci from Escort). There are several good choices for us audio-wise but of course things can get expensive quickly.

Company in Seattle named Benchmark Motoring is putting it in for me (I leave the car there for a few days starting tomorrow). Just the HU is going in, they are using all the rest from the original equipment. (Bose)

p.s. grats on the GT3.2 kit, awesome

So your using that 850 connection thing? or did they say they will just run the speakers to the HU and then sub to the bose amp. I have heard of this working too

sorry I'm not sure yet. He said they do this all the time though with all-in-one HU upgrades on Porsche 997 etc so I think you are golden for a solution.
