New pics...

Weather turned for the better so I was able to take a couple of pics.

We picked up the car about 3 weeks ago...2008 Targa 4S w/4.5 miles

Carrara white, trip, two-tone full leather, Sportschrono, nav, 19" wheels, Bose, K-40, bluetooth...plus 6 yr/60,000 extended warranty. Awesome ride and we have not seen another Targa yet!

Thanks guys... I missed the Porsche brand so I'm happy to get back into a Porsche.

Okay I have questions...
1. Obviously the suspension button only stiffens the suspension
2. What exactly does the Sportschrono do for a 2008 Targa 4S?
3. Ok, the suspension button stiffens the suspension...what does the sports button do (next to the suspension button)? Does it just adjust the throttle?
4. Or is the sportschrono the two buttons - sports and suspension buttons?

In terms of mods - nothing major... I've already done clear bra, side markers.
Last 2 mods: Front and rear LEDs, and 7/12 spacers

Congrats on a wonderful car. The sport button stiffens the suspension and re-maps the throttle. The suspension button just stiffens the suspension. I prefer the suspension button, as I don't like the touchy throttle in sport mode. Get out and enjoy that car!

Hey Mark. I'm in Hillsdale, close in to downtown. No mods yet, but thinking about them often. Thanks for the kind words. Mine is a 2007 C4S with just 14,500 miles on it. Bought it in August sat year. I sold an 86 Targa to buy the 997. Absolutely no regrets. This car is better in every conceivable way. In the spring, there is a regular Cars and Coffee behind the Starbucks by the Tigard Home Depot. Look forward to meeting you I n person.

Let's see that two-tone leather interior, too.

Mine has full leather as well, 6MT, along with Sports Chrono, extended nav, PSE, Bose, adaptive sport seats with crests in headrests (silly). My sport button opens up the exhaust, which is addictive. If you don't have PSE, you might consider Gundo hack to open up the sound.

Thanks Joe! Question...

1) Who do you recommend to do the Gundo hack in our area?

2) Do you have a good exterior/interior detailer?

I've been considering Gundo but not sure who is reliable to do it

Congrats on your car.
IMHO it is absolutely THE perfect choice for the PNW.
Sunny, not so cold? Flick the roof back.
Now rain? Flick it closed and still keep the view.
Now cloudy by the sea? Flick it open. Smell the water.
Now snowing? Flick it closed again.
Clearing in the trees? Open again through the evergreen with blue above you.
On and on.
Probably put as many miles on the roof as on the tires.
And sure as heck I'd charge way more than taxi fare for anybody riding in the second seat going down the PCHighway.
Enjoy it all.

1. I've had great experiences with Matrix Integrated. I would think they could handle the job. They're located on Macadam in the South Waterfront.

2. I haven't used them yet, but Fresh Start in Beaverton sounds good. I will give them a try soon and let you know.
