FVD LED DRL not working properly

FVD LED DRL (solved)
I got my LED DRLs in today that I ordered from FVD! Transaction went smoothly and was shipped on time, which I was very excited for, but after installing them I have run into a few problems. After installing the lights, I turned the car on and turned the light switch to the full on position. Only the LED strips came on on both sides. I'm not sure if that is what it's supposed to do or not, but I had the impression that all lights would be running at this point. I put the light switch in 'home' position and all lights turn off. I start the engine, turn the switch to full on position, only the LED strips are on. I turn the switch to home position, only LED strips are on. I turn off the engine, turn the switch from full on to 'home' and finally the LED lights and strip are both on.. but only on one side. The other side, only the LED strip is on. I'm not quite sure if I made an error during the installation, but this DIY was pretty easy and straight forward. Any advice would be amazing! Thanks in advance.

I have the ROTtec setup but with mine the LED strip comes on when the lights are on the second position or full light position. For the fogs to come on I pull the light switch in either of the 2 positions referenced.

Sorry to hear about your problem, and that I can't offer any advice because I'm brand new to the Porsche family myself, but I'd love to see some pics of what you did. So if you have some time, throw a few up here.

Bottom LEDs are supposed to only come on when you pull out the light switch into the foglight position or when the HOME function lights up the foglights so you can get into the house (HOME!). Everything you have described so far is 'as I would expect'.
* The LED strips replace the 'city light' or 'parking light' - these come on when you turn the light switch past HOME to either of the ON positions, or when you have the car turned off, and use the indicator or signal lever to up or down (left or right) and want to leave the city and tail light of ONE side of the car on to mark the presence of your car in a dark street
* The LED lights replace the fog lights (so you have to turn on the fog lights on the switch inside the car - these same lights are what lights up in the HOME position to provide the light you use to see while you are getting from the car to your home in the dark).
* The top LED lights replace the flashing direction indicator and flash orange and come on when you signal direction changes.
Were you expecting more? If you think you were getting some updated DRL capability where the bottom LEDs provide DRL function (which normally comes from the headlights on the 997.1) - then you need to add another module fully described in other threads on this forum.
You mention though only ONE LED light on in one scenario - I suggest you turn on the lights and pull out the FOGLIGHT switch, and check both sides fog light LEDs light up. If not, then re-seat the connector on that side, or I recall on one installation having to flip around the connector that replaces the light bulb from the original set (can't recall if that was the fog light or the city light).

Thanks Paddyh! +1 Your explanation helped thoroughly.
These ran me 509$ total after shipping (shipped from Florida to California) from www.fvd.us.

I posted a lot of detailed information into another thread here in case you also wanted automatic DRL functionality via the extra current sensing DRL module, but want to use the center horizontal white area as the DRL instead of the bottom, brighter LED portion.
