UVA protection

Does anyone know if 997 window glass blocks both UVA and UVB radiation? I was wondering if getting a protective clear tint would be useful or redundant.

Yes there is protection with the factory windows.

I know you can get very light tints with high IR rejection properties and would keep the inside cooler. What is your reason for wanting clear tint?

I actually like full visibility. But I also have vitiligo (partial depigmentation of skin) and would like both UVA and UVB rejection as much as possible to protect myself from the sun while driving.

Light tints are probably fine. But I live in California so it has to be really light. Also, I drive a targa so when the top is retracted you get double windows and double tint.

I put 73% on my winsheild and can barely tell it's there...I even forgot I had it done at one point since I've been told the factory windshield is ~85%.

Did you do a self install or buy a hired professional?

i recommended that tint because it seems to meet the OP's needs of a light tint with superior sun protection. from all the horrible self tint jobs i've seen, i hired a professional to do mine. i have 35%.
