AC working normal?

Advance apology if it was posted previously. I did search but couldn't find any previous post.

The AC speed needs to be more than halfway in order for the cabin temp to be comfortable. It feels the AC is barely on if the speed is on 3 or 4 bars and below.

While I do understand the car has huge window/ glass panels, are above conditions considered normal?

how many miles since the last cabin filter change? may want to pull that to see if that's the culprit.

That sounds about right. I just changed my cabin filters less than 500 miles ago and I need at least 3 bars to feel its on and 4 to start feeling cool. But then again, we're looking at our 3rd day in a row in the triple digits here today...

A trick is to switch the 'auto' function off and blow through the dashboard vents only for more cooling.

Car was purchased CPO 2 months ago, so presume the filters must have been replaced during inspection.

Slightly off your AC topic, but I wouldn't presume anything. My first hand experience with CPO cars and my brother's experience are similar if not identical. A service tech goes over the check list, makes recommendations of what needs to be done - the sales department, who has to sell the car, decides what they can get away with NOT doing. There is a lot of judgement call on tires, air filters...etc. Obviously, what they put into the car comes out of their profit.

It all depends on whether they are selling CPO cars to the letter or the spirit of it. We tripped across this after going back to the dealer for some CPO items that should have been covered. Then the service tech acknowledged he had seen and recommended those items but the Sale Manager decided not to do them.

Are you talking about the interior temperature not dropping to your selected setting, or that the fan does not seem to blow air at <=3 bars?

I always use the "auto" setting. That works pretty good.

In Houston I just keep mine on low and it takes around 4-5 bars to keep it cool. Having said that, I am very happy with my AC. I was scared to death getting my car with a black interior but the AC blows so cold, my wife is constantly turning it down.

I checked today... I set the air to flow through the center airvents; I turned off the windshield vents and the footwell vents. The car was parked, and the engine was running. With my hand in front of the center air vent above the radio, I could feel a flow of air at one bar, two bars, or three bars. I couldn't hear the air flowing through the vents until I selected four or more bars. The outside temperature was in the mid 80's to mid 90's (deg. F). I set the interior temperature to 67 deg. F or 68 deg. F, and I could feel that the air was chilled.

Do you have the recirculation button pressed?

Katera, that's a good point... You'd want to press the recirc button because you don't want to keep sucking in the hot air from outside. Without recirc activated, it's like turning on the AC in your house with the windows open!

I feel the air but barely at 1,2 or 3 bars but the air is definitely more noticeable once it is 5 or more bars.

I will check the air filter as recommended as well once I find out where it is located.

Exactly. The Recirc button seems to default to off when I restart my car and I have to manually press it. Makes a massive difference in the AC cooling.

In auto, it should adjust to the needs.

Things depend on the ambient temperature and what you set the internal temp to be.

If the temps are close and/or the AC is really only drying air, it can be low fan. If you have a 100 degree day with the sun beating down on you, you would be hard pressed to keep up with nature and may be better off opening the windows and turning on the ventilated seats as well. (you could keep the AC running as well).

Too many variables to answer with authority. Where are you? What's the temperature? What's the humidity?
