Thumbs up FVD 997.2 front bumper chin spoiler lip and mesh grill kit installed

I have always thought the standard Carrera is missing a decent front spoiler to complete an otherwise nice looking front end. That is until I found this GT3 CUP style front lip from FVD. It's made of fiber-flex so should be able to withstand the occasional scraping and such. I had it painted to color match the exterior and also installed a mesh grill kit (also from FVD) to finish things off.

I will let the pictures do the talking.

Before,

And after,

A close up of the mesh screens,

Nice looking modification. The grills will keep a lot of junk out of your radiators. I was amazed at the amount of stuff that came out of my radiators in only 5 months.

Looks great. I would love to see a side view if you get a chance. Why did you decide to paint it? For practicality, if it's likely to be a scraper why not leave it black? It does look perfect painted.

Why can't they make one of these for the 997.1?

I was amazed that these cars did not come with mesh grilles in the first place!

Don't think it would, but I'm sure there are similar products out there if you do a search.

Thanks. Yeah I much prefer the Sport Classic look with the paint matched front spoiler lip compared to the more racy GT3 (unpainted) look, guess I just need to be extra careful with scraping.

Yeah the bumper needs to come off as the grilles are fitted from the inside.
