Porsche Test Drive event - Fontana, Ca
Anyone going to this event? Sounds like it would be fun as it would be on a real track. Not like some others I've been to that just setup cones in a parking lot.
I didn't get back to the site in time all three days are booked now.
So upset I didn't sign up right away....
If anyone has reserved a spot and knows they are not going I would love to trade my sign up code for yours.
Thanks.

I got an email invite. I was in the market last year and a local dealer put me on the list. I was surprised I got another invite, once I got the email, I signed me an another possible new to Porsche friend to sign ip within 2 hours. saturday was already full.
Basically it was an autocross with the cayman and Boxters and the 911 on the big track! About 3 hours of fun!

I attended the event for Chicago at the Autobahn CC track if you're not a current Porsche owner or have never driven at any speed on a track you will have fun. I drove 2.5 hours each way attend and probably didn't get more than 30 minutes behind the wheel in motion.
The Autocrosses is just a curvy route, coned on both sides. You'll do two or three Laps while a marketing rep blathers on and keeps going to sport and sport plus in the new Boxster.
I got one lap around half the track in a 991, 991S, and a Panamera GTS. It's a follow the leader activity. At the end of each lap, we came in and switched drivers or cars.
You might have a great time, but you won't be running track speeds like you would on a track day. All the cars are PDK.
Oh, I forgot the comparo acceleration runs between a Cayenne S and a Cayenne Hybrid. If I was only in the market for a 5000+ lb SUV it might have meant something.
