After market radio

I want to chance my stock radio, but since the car has Bose system it will cost a pretty penny. In order to have it properly working, amp will have to be replaced along with small speakers. Aftermarket radio is not compatible with stock amp, and aftermarket amp (four ohms) is not compatible with stock speakers since the are only two ohms, but will work with stock amp. Is there a way to have it done just by replacing a radio and nothing else? Does anyone know if there is a plug/adapter that will work with stock amp, speakers and a aftermarket radio? Thanks in a advance

i did replace the unit with an aftermarket kenwood. they used the unit to power the STOCK Bose speakers and a "line driver" to power the STOCK Bose amp. (it essentially gives the amp the necesssary juice it requires to work properly). using rca's to the amp doesn't produce even 10% of the output.

this way, i avoided buying a 700$ harness for plug and play purposes.

hope this helps.

I'm not sure if it's Hawaii or because that type of vehicle I drive, but it seems no one knows what the line driver is. I searched it online, but I just don't know which LD I need. Thanks

Or you can also use NAV TV module which should allow you to incorporate an aftermarket head unit.

A Cache audio + dline driver

or pacific accessory turbo x signal booster

Hope this helps.

I must say, the system sounds better than the stock Boss.

The Kenwood allows you to fine tune the audio in a multitude of ways.

i am amazed.

Does the aftermarket unit come with touch screen? I like the touch screen in my car but it does not have Bluetooth music.
