My first Porsche
My first Porsche
Just got this 2007 Targa 4 with 40000 miles last weekend. Ordered Short Shifter and clear side marker lights. I'm looking for a front lip that will fit my stock bumper. Any info would be appreciated. thank you.
Congrats on the car! With that mileage it was obviously a daily driver for the first owner which is a good sign for future maintenance.
To start, I'd go with a poly lip as opposed to carbon or fiberglass. They hold up much better to scraping. I have a carbon lip and it's a real battle every time there's a dip or big bump! Mine has gotten cracked up pretty good over the 4 years it's been on the car despite being extremely careful. Personally, I like the carbon lip and prefer that over the durability of poly, so I"ll live with the dings/cracks/scratches, but most people prefer poly.
What's your budget? There are lips anywhere from under $100 up to many hundreds. While there are good ones relatively cheap, in general the fit and finish as well as looks are going to increase as price goes up.

My budget for the lip is about $300. Any idea where I can get the polycarbonate lip in that price range? As far as the mods go for the suspension I was thinking about putting lowering springs on (h&r or eibach).
I have driven on both and tend to lean towards the H&R OE Sport Springs they offer a mild lowering to cleanup that "too high-rally-stock look." H&R's are designed with a revised spring rate for increased driving convenience with great handling characteristics. While maintaining the stock comfort.
Also works with PASM equipped models.
Front lowering: 1.2 in
Rear lowering: 1.2 in

I like this lip! I believe it would look great black on red... however it's close to 500 shipped...
Something to think about Mirza!
it is decent, but I would rather spend more money on the suspension and get a cheaper lip.
that's pretty much the cheapest polyurethane lip you're going to find. personally, i decided to get the gt3/aerokit front bumper over a lip but price of entry is high. it transforms the front of the car but you gotta pay to play.

Don't mean to thread jack but,
Killa, how do you like the GT3TEK rear bumper? I was leaning toward that to replace mine. Any fitment issues? I saw their unpacking video and it made me pause.
I like the one from Vorsteiner too but looking at another thread here (fitment) plus my own frustrating experience with them makes me hesitate.
Thanks!
PS, OP congrats on the new car!!!!!!
