So I did the most impulsive thing yet in life...flew out to Chicago to pick up a 2009 c4s with 6500 miles on it! Of course my camera died when I got there so no pics as of yet, but the 900 mile drive home to NJ was exquisite! We averaged about 22mpg over the course of the trip and had some good times with the gf too.
I'm stopping myself from modding yet, as I still have to sell my 2008 m3, but I can't believe that a 997 is in my garage, much less a c4s in the exact color combo I wanted (meteor gray over carrera red).
No chrono sport, or adaptive seats, but I did get heated and ventilated seats which I really wanted this time as well as nav, bose, universal audio interface, bluetooth, pretty much the only option it doesn't have that I would have wanted was satellite radio.
I know, first post, no pics, but I gotta start somewhere!

I'm not gonna lie there are times when I miss the naturally aspirated V-8 (and the 2 additional doors) - but all-in-all there's no comparison. The balance and general build quality of the Porsche is markedly superior - in addition to just being an all around better sports car. I love the wide-body on the 4S too - that was (admittedly) the driving factor in wanting the 4S ... those wide hips. I also felt the M3 didn't have enough low-end power. You needed to really wind that V8 to feel the performance of the car - the Porsche's power curve is much more linear. You're going to love her - congrats

I totally understand. My tuned 335 is a total beast 0 to 80, but does'nt compare to the overall performance experience my C2S gives. Its a totally different head driving a Porsche. Theres an unexplainable joy about the engine pushing from the back saying, C'mon give me more. Is that all you got? Enjoy, the more you get to know the car, the more you'll love it!
Congrats on your new purchase! You made a great choice on the 2009. First year for the Gen 2 with direct injection and a few other improvements over the Gen 1. Did you figure out how to use the PCM, yet? Pix of the GF, please!
BTW, join PCA, and you'll enjoy your car even more.
