trust me, i feel your pain. in '02 I believe it was, i bought a new Audi S8, took it to have a new deck installed, it was a saturday, picked up my saturday at closing and once i left and got going down the street i reached down to turn on my heat and when i turned it owned i noticed the readout was shattered, they had shoved a screw driver the the hvac control panel and didnt tell me. i brewed about that the whole weekend since they closed as soon as i left and had to wait till Monday to call them

Wow that annoys me just reading this. Some people have no respect for other people's property. Best thing you can do is move on and pay for a professional detail (or take it on yourself) and forget it ever happened. Hopefully the stereo work they did is up to par. Any pics of the stereo or the damage they did?

I feel your pain!

I had a 370Z that the stereo shop messed up so badly that even after they "fixed" everything I ended up just taking the car to Carmax and dumping it.

That sucks... ever notice when you try to warn them before they do a job about what you don t want (such as other things messed up) they make you feel like you are a PITA? Yours is nothing that can t be corrected without too much fuss.

I have very little faith in shops these days to do anything without screwing it up. I only use shops that come highly recommended by people I know and then I go see them in person and check out their work before I ever roll one of my cars into their shop. I am willing to pay to have it done right, but not willing to have to take it back and have it re-done because they screwed it up or messed up other stuff because they are hiring 20 year-olds that make $15.00 hour to do their work.

I Never use an independent shop or anyone else for aftermarket things.......stuff like this doesn't happen at the dealer. I've had bad things happen when car was serviced by someone other than the dealer.

Yeah right, stuff like this DOES happen at stealerships too! I had some work done on my rear spoiler and they had forgotten to tighten down the plastic part that fits over the actual spoiler that moves up and down. ( sorry I don't know the exact terminology)...

Thank god I didn't go on the freeway or anything...it would have flown off and done damage to vehicles behind me.

Took it back, they didn't even apologize!!! I'll never go back there again!!!

Was covered under warranty, but would have costed about a $1,000.00 for the parts and labor.
