I made the same move from 20" Pirelli PZeros to the same Hankook Ventus V12s on a Jaguar XK I used to own. Night and day difference. I'm sure others have had a positive experience, but I thought the Pirellis were garbage. LOUD, hard, and dangerous in wet weather (I bought the car with only 10K miles with the Pirellis as OEM tires). They were so bad that I got rid of them at 12K when there was still plenty of tread on them. The Hankooks were super quiet, handled well, much better in the rain, and dirt cheap.
Completely agree. Went from Bridgestone Potenza to Hankook v12. Love the v12. Much, much quieter and great in the rain.

I'm usually a Michelin man but my local dealer had a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 on sale for really cheap. I thought....name brand tire for 500....gave it a shot. To my huge surprise the tires have good performance but after 4K miles are still really quiet. Really quiet.
I had a set of Eagles back in the 1990's and hated them to no end. I swore them off. But I listened to my dealer and he was right, these are cool. I'll definitely try them again.
But the best riding, most quiet tire I have ever had...it was the Bridgestone 960AS. But it is an all-season performance tire and I probably wouldn't put it on a Porsche or other sport car. But if you don't mind losing a little performance, it will be a long lasting and quiet tire all the way to the end.
