Orange / Red Wheels on Carrera S -997

Hi Guys,

I am new to this forum and new to Porsche. I am about to pull the trigger on a 09 -Carrera S coupe ..Black color with standard wheels..

I have been fixated on the idea of putting orange / red wheels on my car..GT3 style..

http://porschebahn.wordpress.com/200...orsche-gt3-rs/

I understand that colored wheels are most used by Gt3 owners.. But is there anyone who has put colored wheels on their street cars ?
Also where could i look at for colored wheels ?
I would appreciate an honest opinion about putting on the colored wheels

Puullleeezzzeee, don't go the black wheel route. It's so overdone now it has lost its appeal. I've seen black with contrasting wheels that look very good. Red and yellow seem to be the favorite hues. Makes sense since the Porsche brake calipers on an "S" are usually red or yellow.

The 09 carreraS wheels would take a colour change pretty well imho.
any paint shop could do it for you but if you can use photoshop id do that first ....

Your car, your colors. NObody can tell you what to like. If you've seen it and like it, do it. I, obviously, would go for the orange..........but I'm not sure why.

I also thought it would be fun so I had my track wheels painted the exact colour of the red brake callipers. (Black C2S) It looked terrible. It looked like a girl wearing too much lipstick!!! I hated it...To make it work you have to go the whole way like a GT3 RS. The wheels were eventually stolen so I was happy to have an excuse to buy a new set. Photoshop it first....

That Black/Orange GT3 RS you posted is one of my favorite P-cars ever.

I really like the contrast of the colors but as others have said, do what you want!

I'm thinking the OP was firing blanks (didn't pull the trigger on the purchase).

Negative? Just an observation he didn't buy the car. No posts afterwards. So if one wants to talk about colored wheels on a car, then great. I like them. Just no need to make suggestions to the OP I believe.
