If you are on the fence on this upgrade, this is your chance:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-Carb...000#vi-content

That's as cheap as it's going to get.
No affiliation with the seller, just passing some info for a lucky guy...

That's a nice deal Joel. I thought I got a good deal, but that's a great find for someone.
Mine should arrive tomorrow, can't wait.
Dave.

Thanks, I've purchased this

What else will I need? Which is the shop which supplies the x51 plenum and throttle body for cars like mine which were not originally x51?

btw, congrats... you may need MAF, filters (maybe?), connecting hose, clamps and right snorkel. or if you want the full system, oil filler tube and long MAF cable. I didn't install those two...

Hi m8

I'm installing it in a 997.1 C2S, so think I need X51 TB, Nello plenum and connecting hose. It comes with new filters and I will use my current maf, so don't think I need anything else?

So when you fitted yours did you loose any low down power/torque?

the right duct on the deck is different than the left one, so make sure you order the right one.

On my car (regular carrera 997) I gained felt torque and a smooth delivery of power. I'm planning to add 200 cell cats and softronics to wrap everything up. Call Nello and tell him I sent you...

So pissed right now!

Spoke to the seller, Porsche Dealership in Vienna
"yep no problem sir, you can buy it, we shall get you a shipping quote"

Noticed they never remove item from Ebay, next day, I hear nothing, call them up and they basically let someone else buy it on Ebay hours after I said I wanted it.

Needless to say Im gutted, was so wanting one of these and can't believe this shop has done this when they promised it me.

So does anyone know anywhere else offering these?

Sorry to hear this, that really sucks. Same thing happened to me last year trying to buy the same part off a forum member. It turned out to be a complete scam.

I just purchased mine from Sunset Imports in Oregon. They had the best pricing that I could find. Give them a call. I worked with Phil, who was great.

Goodluck,
Dave.
