My 2006 Carrera 4 has the letter F painted on the driver's side rim around the headlight lens with dots left, right and above the letter. The dealer had no idea why. Just curious. It's in speed yellow matching the car color.

The F is on the driver's side in the striped area around the headlight. I think I've done the upload correctly.

 

looks hand painted and not uniform with all 997's. could mean anything.

 

It was definitely a reference for something and they forgot to remove when done? Interesting!

 

Gosh...I assume it makes it a high desirable collectible and the value just went up!

 

Was the car ever at auction ? I know sometimes they will make a mark on a head light to tell the drivers what lane to go in or lot to park in.

 

Never at auction. I am the second owner and I have the purchase records. Plus at auction I kind of doubt they would have speed yellow to mark it.

It's an allien marking indicating that you indeed are the chosen one. Have you been probed lately or have time lapses that you cannot account for???
