to lower or not to lower...
There is some truth to the ROW ride height adjustment. I hate the US factory ride height to meet crash and safety regulations, IMHO it's crap. All those trucks and SUVs on the road are never going to make a nice "bumper on bumper" impact during a collision. Leave the Import cars at the ride height they were designed at and we won't have to mess with them.

I think the head lamp beam-angle regs have as much as much or more to do with it as bumpers.
Either way it's big brother, looking out for us, costing us money
.
This question has been on my mind for awhile, and I can say I'm surprised at how many posters are pro-stock height .
I am seriously considering lowering springs only (H&R 1.2") I know when I did springs only on an old VW Jetta the OEM shocks seemed to wear out/got the bounce in a couple of years which concerns me.
Does anyone know how much lower the ROW height is? Is the difference only springs/are they using the and shocks the US versions are now??

I did the H&R s a couple of years ago. The car looks a lot better, since you eliminate the gap between the top of tire and the wheel well. But, you will have more rubbing issues going over bumps.
