I have 19 in Pirelli s on my car and don t see the wear bars on the rear tire. I see them on the fronts. Am I missing something?? How many miles with conservative driving are you all getting on these tires?

 

I've got PZero Rossos that were replaced this past summer and wear bars were there. All tires short of slicks have them.
All that was left were straight grooves on the circumference. All other tread was gone but they probably would have been good for the track

 

perhaps you've worn it through the wear bar? do you have treads in the middle anymore?

 

There's no average mileage from the tires. It's based on the way you drive, air pressures, road conditions..... If you're not sure, stop by your tire shop/dealer and have them looked at.

 

OK, thanks, I ll look again. There is tread left for sure, just did nt see the bars. 11k miles.

 

if those are original tires, at 11k miles, you are close to needing a change. look at the center of the tire. you'll see the wear bar. you need to take a knee to see it.

 

thanks, took the knee with a light and the wear bars are there and they still have meat on the tread but are going low. I know from other cars that these performance tires can be heard as they approach the end and they started getting louder.

 

Before you replace those, take it easy around corners, especially when wet. Replace tires around 4mm. Wear bar is about 2-3mm.
