is it called by any other names? i know there is a lipstick red and carrera red and cartier red, are any of these the natural red as well? and while we are here, pics of anyone's better red than... would be great! lay it on me/us...

 

Don't forget Matador and Can-Can as well....I think they're all a little different....I had a LTS with Lipstick Red in my 06!

I have carrera red as a color code. I believe when the 'natural' term is used, it's in reference to the "type" or texture of the leather. So you could have as an example "natural brown" leather also. I could be wrong though so I'll let the experts weigh in. On a side note, I absolutely love it on my meteor grey car! Sorry I'm in another country right now so no pics.

 

I believe silver is right and the Natural Leather is related to quality hence the name Natural carrera red leather ( i could be wrong though I don't think so).

There is an option # 998 carrera red natural leather. I think that it became available in 2008. Based on a google search, carrera red natural leather looks just like red leather. To really appreciate the natural leather, it must be seen in person. (I don't have it.)

I agree with your statement but as leather is a natural material what does Porsche use for the leather that's not specifically designated as "natural " ? By the way, love the red leather with the Silver exterior. Looks great with various shades of grey as well.

That is correct, at least here in the States. Natural leather on the 997 was the quality of leather. I believe it was offered in carrera red or espresso. It's beautiful in person. I love it on my car, especially with the deviating carpets.

 

has anyone heard of the 'cartier' red leather? maybe it is a euro option...

 

Agreed on the red leather looking great with silver or gray paint. I really like the new Boxter in silver/gray with the red leather. I won't be trading the GT3 any time soon, however.......
