LED car lighting?

Hey folks,

I'm a new owner, just bought a 2005 C2S. I noticed the light in my front trunk (frunk?) is burned out and I was wondering if it was worth upgrading all the interior lighting to LEDs while I'm at it. Anyone done it?

I did all interior lights with led's.
Looks great with the "cool white" color and they are very bright,
I bought a complete kit which does all the lights from Maxspeed for about $120.

Mine was out too. It was a control unit and solenoid, not the bulb. Had to remove the front bumper cover just to get to it. Thankfully a warranty fix for me. Would have been pricey.

If you know the size of each bulb and willing to spend a little more $$, going ala carte will give you the brightest LEDs. Otherwise, go with the complete kit for now and upgrade to more brighter LEDs later...

A couple of reputable vendors:

tiyyara is infamous around these parts
I got mine through ebay, had to buy a couple of kits as the sellers did not always have the "right combo"
You can pay around 150 and get it all right, suncoast
You can pay around 120 as mentioned above
or you can piecemeal retail it and save some $$ (I did that, did not do enough research) and I would advise pay some $ extra and get it all shipped to you in one batch through the links mentioned above by our colleagues/brothers here

Cool, thanks. I am tempted to just get a kit from SunCoast to avoid the hassle. Hopefully my frunk light is just a bulb and not a solenoid/switch issue.

Is the Suncoast kit is significantly brighter than stock?

Before you even buy, take out the bad bulb and measure the voltage with a multimeter at the socket.

I have full LED in my car (other than the vanity mirror ones since they are a PITA to get to). If you want to take a look before making the commitment, PM me.
