What is the difference between 2009 & 2010 997.2

I see steering wheels for 09 are from 997.1, is this the only difference between 2010 & up models?
Is there any major difference between 2010 & up for 997.2?

I think that the 2009 997.2 is the same as that 2010 997.2 with the exception of the 997.2 Turbo and 997.2 GT3 that weren't availalble in 2009. Where did you see a 997.1 steering wheel for 2009 997.2?

You're right. 2009 997.2 6-speeds have the 997.1 steering wheel. Only the 2009 pdk cars received the upgraded wheel in 2009. All other components where equally updated.

And then the PDK wheel received further update in the 2010 model year where several indicator lights were added above the airbag.

I've seen 2009 997.2 Turbos with the ultra ugly, triangular wheel. That thing is hideous!

but then, I get to drive a 2005, 997.1 with a 2012 wheel!

I really want to get this wheel for my 2009 997.2 6 speed rather the the 997.1 it came with (shown above)

I know the airbags are different. Anyway this can be done?

Ya...that is what I figured. Will the new new airbag just plug in the same way?

I would Think so. Another difference to mention is 09 cannot upgrade to paddle wheel with sport and sport plus lights. You can do the swap but lights wont function. 2010 you can have the lights functioning.

Yes, they did, unless there was a mid-year change. Thats why I upgraded my 2009's steering wheel.

The PDK wheel options were of the newer design, though I'm not sure the paddle options came online til 2010.
