VF-E SC intstall, again??? Am I nuts?

Howdy,
Again, been gone awhile. Ever since I blew my engine at Barber in AL, and shelled out for a new one, I've lost a lot of my passion for my car. Without the thrill of the SC, and the personal connection of having done the installation myself, I guess it just means a little less to me.

Truth be told, I've preferred to drive the Range Rover or the '87 Carrera 3.2 over the '05 C2S. Just feels impotent compared to what I was used to with the SC.

Well, coming full circle, I am in talks to do the SC mod...again. Using a lift, I think I can do the full install in a weekend, as opposed to the two weeks it took me to do it on my back, in 20 degree temps, by flashlight, last time around.

What do you all think? Is there interest in seeing this again? Would a video of the installation be valuable and/ or interesting? Or is this all played out now that the 997 gen 1 is getting longer in the tooth?

Below is a video of my dyno in process, and the magical dyno sheet, attached. 442 at the wheels is about 520 at the crank. That's what I miss...

Cattman,

Do it! As the 997.1 becomes more affordable, there will be newcomers to the Porsche world, and your Video tutorial will no doubt be an invaluable asset to this community, just like Justatoy's infamous thread!

I, for one, would love to see a full Video tutorial as there are details of the installation that just cannot be captured by photos only. Not that I need it as I already installed the S/C a while back, but it just would be a great tutorial for others.

What's driveability like with that clutch? Can the stock clutch take it?

Having owned a car that was ruined for day driving before I'm hesitant to make big changes to my new 997.1.

Do it, and use it...or sell it and buy a Turbo.
