Selling 997.1 C4S
It seems like Hawaii would be a pretty limited market, as there are enough available in CA to keep buyers from thinking about shipping from HI. Strangely enough, I put my old 2011 7-Series on Swapalease and the guy that took over the lease lived near Diamond Head and had the car shipped all the way there from Texas. And it wasn't even THAT good of a deal. Have you seen if the local dealer will buy it from you for a fair price?
Too much maybe? Marketing in all the places available? Given you market it aggressively and the price is fair - you will sell it. Good luck!

Price and advertise right and it should move. GLWS.
I was born and raised in hawaii and if I moved back I would sell my GTS. I would not want to own a nice car in hawaii. Parking stalls are narrower in hawaii, not everyone has an enclosed garage in a good part of town to keep their car safe, there's also a lot of haters that key or ding any decent car, and car theft is high. I got friends back home and almost all of them have had a car stolen and the cars aren't even that nice (lots of hondas and nissans).
What happens when a car is stolen in Hawaii? Do nice cars get put on a boat quickly to leave the island or chopped for parts? I would think stolen limited production cars would be tough to hide and conceal. You couldn't drive a stolen 911 GTS around very long without being caught.

maybe it's the lime green decals. just saying, it limits the appeal.

I find it very easy to sell cars here, but you have to market it right, and present it perfectly the first time. The island is small and the enthusiasts talk, and will talk amongst themselves about how good or bad a car is. you only have that one chance to present you car to that group, basically. if you don't have immediate interest, usually you have wait a bit, drop your price or try something different. I think Autosource may be a better place for your car, over autoxchange.

I've never found KBB to be a good proxy for market value. Local dealer probably has a better idea of what the market is.
eBay requires big fees. I think when it comes to dealers I don't think they know the market as well. They use their kbb and than they give you a price that is 10k below. Auto source dude is a crook. Read some of the reviews on that dealership. Hawaii is very limited market for Porsches that is for sure.
Compensate for the fee and shipping in the price, you may take a slight hit but probably not as painful as the price you will get locally. Look, if you keep coming up with excuses to not sell it you never will. Test the waters, you may be surprised.
