New guy with Carrera GTS

Hey everyone. Moving over from the Cayman boards.

I picked up an 07 Cayman S in Feb of 12. Got bit by the Porsche bug and decided to upgrade to the 997.2. Drove all kinds of them and have settled on a 2011 GTS.

Im in NH and the car is in OH. Have to drive my Cayman out and bring this back. Should be an adventure!

Car is nicely optioned with some CF and nice paint touches on the exterior. My wife has a '12 S4 and Im really pleased with the DSG in that car so Im excited to try the PDK.

Great choice. I have a lot respect for the dynamics of the Caymen but it doesn't hold a candle in overall presence/feel to a 911 IMHO.

Also want to give extra kudos for your garage. Very nice!

Did you research the (hidden) maintenance costs on the centerlock wheels? I was shocked when I heard about it.

I've heard about the cost of tools to remove and reinstall. But have not heard anything regarding any special maintenance.
I like to drive my cars, and I'm not afraid to work on them either.
I'm looking forward to it.
