Rear baby seat for 2007 C4S? Does it work?

Baby on the way. So, I'm researching baby transport options using my 997.

Thus far, I understand that if I want to put baby seat in the the front passenger seat, I need to purchase and install a retrofit airbag deactivation kit. Expensive.

Do I have the option to put a baby seat (rear-facing) in the backseat? Are there any baby seats that work for my car?

Advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

It's doable. I did it in a 993 but sold it for an M car.

Here's a link to someone's post. Lots of threads on this too.

I just installed yesterday the Cybex Aton in my C2 and it fits both with base and without, however without the base you have more room up front. Both ways its super easy to install and take out, very happy with it.

The pictures are of the install with out base.

Not sure if this is your first or not but my advice to you, if you can swing it, get a cheap DD. I have a two year old and my wife's 2010 330i sedan was too small and a pain. Long story short, she now drives a 2012 E350 and now she wants a Cayenne. Anyway, that's a whole other issue..

Although it is doable, I cannot imagine taking a child in and out of the back of my 997...

+ how messy kids are...

It is not the easiest, but we live in Chicago so we only take our daughter in the car for necessities like going to the doctor, groceries etc. just short trips of 30mins or so and small day trips outside the city.

For long trips > 3hrs we rent a car as this is our only car. I agree that I don't want my interior messed up which is why I clean it out each time we take her with and place a towel around her seat. I just love how she loves to ride in the P-Car with us and is totally calm about it :-)

Nice man, congrats.

By the time she is old enough to start throwing things you will not want her in your Pcar. The mess in the back of my wife's car (the primary baby car) is so bad its hard to explain. I get it cleaned every Saturday morning and I am amazed every week by just how she does it.

Sometimes my daughter helps clean my car too....

But, its fun, enjoy it! I think you are safe for another ~6 months!

That picture of her washing the car is just awesome! Yeah right now she can't do much, no throwing things or any of this sort. Not sure yet how we going to do things when she's at that age. Although I saw the Sport Turismo Concept which would be awesome!

i'm sorry, but i have to disagree. my 997 is my daily driver and the inconvenience of getting my 2.5 y/o daughter in and out of her car seat is a minimal compromise to still have the car as my DD. there are a few seats that fit better than others - my britax roundabout is one that fits quite well. i have a thread on here about the install and how to get a very secure fit - shouldn't be hard to find. my daughter is now old enough that she climbs in and out of her seat herself and i simply place her in and take her out of the footwell. no problem. look into it - totally doable!
