how do I remove the console trim with the sport, shocks, psm buttons?
I have a couple of buttons that are not working, So I wanted to diagnose that by checkign the contacts. Does anyone know how to remove that?
remove the carpeted sides forward on the sides, remove the side bolsters on the center stack. now on the side plastic frame, you will see a retainer spring on each side. press those while pulling the unit towards you. once out, unplug the connector and pry open the front face. you will now have access to ll the internals...
Thanks for that post. Despite the camera not being on the item in question some of the time its clear enough, especially with the audio sounds and commentary, to understand the steps to remove the trim (and then pull the PCM for work of thats where you are going).
i got to the point where I have the switch panel loose, but it wont come fully out. The sides come out, but there is definitely tension in the middle ofthe unit. Any ideas?
pull harder. there is a little catch on the center that latches on the lower cubby. that should do it...
