Suncoast SSK Sale
I am not sure anyone can say conclusively that a SSK caused transmission damage on a 997, but I am pretty sure Porsche dropped SSK as a factory installed option at some point in the 997 model run. I don't know why, but it does give me some concern that Porsche possibly identified possible negative impact on the transmission when equipped with SSK.
Considering how much Porsche loves options, and their up-charge for them, it seems a little strange that they would drop it as an option. On the other hand, if they continued to offer it as a genuine Porsche approved part, then that seems to indicate that they are not concerned about possible damage.

You're correct. I guess I had overlooked it. I just checked the Porsche configurator and they still have the 4GTS order specs up, and it does show SSK as an option under "Performance" options ($765.00). Sorry for the confusion. I will delete my previous post.
