I am about to buy an OEM GT3 rear wing from the marketplace and a few questions have came up, I hope you guys can help:

1 - Will my existing 3rd brake light panel fit or do i need to get the brakelight panel for a GT3?

2 - How difficult is it to alter the intake lining so it fits up with the new decklid?

3 - What other parts would I need to make this all work? Does my existing fan work?

I think you also need the front bumper to even out the down forces at speed.

 

Yep, I have the front bumper already and I currently have a Techart Type III rear wing. Want to switch out the wing..

 

1.There is no 3rd brake light on 997.1 gt3 wing, is it?
2. My gt3 wing is there when I got my cat...so I have no idea how difficult, but it seems to be a easy job.
3. You need to paint it or get a new set of emblem : )

 

Not the 3rd brake light on the wing but the one below the rear windshield on a speerate panel. The seller had a concern that the one currently on my car would not fit... I wonder if anyone knows the answer to that?

 

That panel is the one from stock right?
Or did you replace that panel by any other brands?
I think that panel on my car is stock and fits well

 

Yes, it is stock. I think it should fit but I wanted to confirm before I had any other additional expenses to this project..

 

did you do the gt3 front ducting for the center radiator? or did you just add the bumper?

 

I just did the bumper, purely cosmetic..

 

i know fvd make a wiring kit for the 3rd brake light..

It should fit. This is how the GT3 looks like with the 3rd brake light. You should see the 3rd brake light between the bi-level wing. Only the GT3 RS wing will need a relocation of that brake light.
